This section of WoahStork Learn is focused on cannabis science. These articles focus on studies, experiments, and facts that showcase how cannabis works with the body and brain. Everything from cannabis anatomy to longitudinal studies depicting the long-term effects of cannabis use on the brain, body, and medical ailments will make their way into this section.
Cannabis science is a rigorous field that focuses on well-controlled experiments and leveraging statistics on the resultant data. While most studies and information about cannabis are positive, it’s important to remember that cannabis science is unbiased. Thus, while these articles will focus predominantly on the favorable impact cannabis can have, there is also a good deal of articles that showcase the potential negative side effects that can result from long-term chronic cannabis use.
Articles in this section also make sure to tackle and critique studies that discount medical marijuana for disorders, as many of these studies do not have many subjects, only use one cannabinoid isolate, and are not well controlled. We take particular care to take note of the funding behind each cannabis study as well — often times big-pharma will fund many cannabis studies and publicize ones that have null findings so as to give unwarranted credibility to non-cannabis based pharmaceuticals.
