Have you ever heard of a Gladiator Spider? Categorized under the genus Deinopis, gladiator spiders are a type of spider known as net-casting spiders.
Where a normal spider will craft a web that passively captures insects, the gladiator spider actively uses their web as a sticky catching mit.
They use multi-strand silk that is extremely elastic to create a web that they carry around with them until shooting the web at their prey, entangling them enough for the Gladiator to have its meal.
